Police Foundations

  • Professor
  • Field Placement Coordinator

I have been a member of the teaching faculty at Fleming College for five years. In addition to my teaching duties, I have been the Field Placement Coordinator for students in the Police Foundations Program for the past three years.

Prior to joining Fleming College, I served more than 30 years with the Ontario Provincial Police Force; eventually retiring as an Inspector-Detachment Commander at the Peterborough County Detachment. More than half of my police career was served as a Detachment Commander at detachments that included Apsley, Lindsay, Quinte-Madoc (Belleville) and Peterborough.

My outside interests include serving as President of the Board of the Kawartha-Haliburton Children's Aid Society, Fundraising Chairperson of the Festival of Trees and President of the West Twin Sister's Lake Association.

Other professional pursuits include providing professional police consulting services that assist municipalities with evaluating their policing services and capabilities and in providing knowledge on policing to the Police Services Boards and municipalities conducting police costing processes.
