Forestry International Exchange
Fleming College Forestry students on exchange with students from University of Moncton, in Bugac, Hungary, April 2008
Students in Fleming College's Forestry program can visit Europe for as little as three weeks and as long as a semester (four months). While on exchange, students take Forestry courses at the institution they are visiting. The host institutions are the University of West Hungary, Sopron, Hungary and the University of Padua, Legnaro, Italy. The exchange agreement is a three-year initiative and is part of the Canada-European Union Program for Partnership in Higher Education. Federal funding is available to help pay for the exchange program. Canadian students pay $1,000 to go on the exchange, and the Canadian government will fund an additional $2,000 for the trip.
Students from Forestry programs at the University of West Hungary and the University of Padua are eligible to travel to Canada to attend Fleming College, Malaspina University-College in British Columbia or the University of Moncton in New Brunswick.
See more information on the Forestry program page.
